After watching Carolina even up their series with a 2-1 overtime win in New Jersey, we should feel very thankful the Pens were able to emerge victorious last night against the Flyers. Anything can happen in OT, and the Pens can now split in Philly and be in line to clinch back here in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Here are the highlights of the big win.

By the way, the ecomomic situation has hit us at KDKA as well, as we won't be traveling with the team to their road venues at this point in the playoffs. We're upset about it, but sacrifices must be made, and unfortunately, this is one of them. We'll still have postgame and lockerroom reaction thanks to our CBS friends in Philly, so you won't be missing out on everything, but even Philly, the #5 market in the country is forced turn to us for help in Pittsburgh, so it's across the board.

To tide you over, here are the local recaps of last night's game. Rob Rossi of the Trib highlights Marc-Andre Fleury's superhuman effort last night. Joe Starkey adds a bit more in his column, and Mike Prisuta looks at the Pens special teams.. In the PG, Dave Molinari has the recap, Ron Cook meanwhile says justice was served last night at Mellon Arena. Molinari also reports Chuck Fletcher, top assistant to GM Ray Shero may be courted by more than 1 team in need of a new GM.
