Super Bowl XLIV is history... but we have something to look forward to over the next few months -- seeing the commercials again!

With all due respect to the Saints and the Colts, it's the only reason I watch the game. I want to be impressed. And my favorite, right off the bat, set the bar: Betty White and Abe Vigoda! And, I remember what they were selling -- Snickers!

That's the thing -- we love the commercials, but can't remember half of the advertisers. You remember that Charles Barkley was selling Taco Bell -- but the killer whale in the back of the car? Can you name the advertiser?*

For 49er Fans

I know, I'm sorry if I'm alienating Raider Nation. I just read a touching interview on The SF Chronicle website that brought back memories of the 49er glory days. I grew up in the East Bay watching the 49er religiously. Every Sunday our home was filled with food, friends and family. You can imagine that it was even more exciting because the Niners went to the Super Bowl 5 times in the 80s and 90s. The Montana-Young controversy created a rift like it did for many of The Faithful. Ultimately we, like many of the fans, welcomed No. 8 and backed him 100%.

Easy Super Bowl Recipes Anyone?

Looking ahead to the Super Bowl, I'm thinking food. What am I bringing to my friend's house? For some time I've been making the same appetizer over and over. Do you have any good and easy appetizer recipes? Feel free to post below.

Here's mine... Easy Brie in Pastry Shell

1 Pillsbury or generic crescent roll

1 brie round

Smooth the preforated dough and wrap evenly around the brie evenly. Pop it in a preheated 375 degree oven for 18-20 minutes. Bon Apetit! It's easy and yummy.

3D Glasses and Haiti Relief

...just two of the things you'll see at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards show this Sunday night (7pm, CBS13).

First, there's a 3-dimensional tribute to the late Michael Jackson, featuring Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood, and Usher. Target stores are offering the glasses, according to the Grammy's producer.

Then, a special performance by Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli of Simon and Garfunkel's, "Bridge Over Troubled Water" aims to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief. It's shaping up to be a heck of a show.

Keep your credit card and your 3D glasses handy - looks like you'll need them both!

Clearing Up the Homebuyer Tax Credit

We gave wrong info today: our tax preparer said the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit has to be repaid. Well, it depends. I got this email from several viewers, and doublechecked the facts on the IRS' website:

"The first-time homebuyer credit does NOT have to be paid back UNLESS you sell the home within 36 months of purchase or it is no longer your main residence. In 2008, that credit DID have to be paid back, but it does not now if you remain in your home for 36 months."

Feeling a little overwhelmed with all the charities raising money for Haiti earthquake relief? There are the obvious ones like the Red Cross... but how do you know if the others are legitimate?

Here's a website that checks out non-profit groups, to see if they're for real: www.charitynavigator.org. It's a great way to make sure your money is going where you think it is!

It’s that time of year again… and with all due respect to the Girl Scouts, as a former Camp Fire Girl, I don’t want you to forget about the Candy Sale!

While you’re about to be besieged by brown-and-green-clad Scouts selling the deliciously evil Thin Mints, you don’t really see a big Camp Fire presence in Sacramento anymore. BUT!...you can still find the mints online, which Good Day viewer Debra Smith reminded me. My Elvis Experience

Today would have been Elvis' 75th birthday. Although I was a baby when he died, I have an Elvis experience very close to my heart. For my first wedding anniversary my husband, best friend and her husband took a special trip. We went to Las Vegas to have our vows renewed at the Graceland Chapel by "Elvis". What an experience that was. Our ceremony was playful and a celebration very different than our actual weddings. We danced down the aisle while Elvis sang and our vows had many references to his music. During our visit to the casinos we ran into many "Elvises". Of course Vegas was home to his legendary concerts. It's amazing how much he's transcended generations. People still want to be part of that era and magic.
