The Internal Revenue Service today announced a new event called Solution Saturday scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This program offers personalized tax help to more than 3 million taxpayers in the greater Philadelphia metro area which includes Delaware and southern New Jersey.

Among the problems that can be handled at this special event:  foreclosure, bankruptcy, payment plans, tax penalties, past-due tax returns and other complex tax issues.

This special event will be held at the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center located in the William Greene Federal Building at 600 Arch Street (6th Street side entrance near the fountain).  While taxpayers aren't required to have an appointment, they are strongly encouraged to schedule one.  That can be done by calling 215-861-1902.
