I had really high hopes for the 2009-10 Dallas Mavericks. But after their lackadaisical loss to Washington in the opener, the Mavs may be staring at a 0-3 start.
Dallas heads to Los Angeles on Friday to face the defending champion Lakers and then they’ll take the court Saturday night against the Clippers. I’m assuming the Mavs will struggle on the road against the Lakers, which will make the Clippers game on Halloween night a big one.
We’ll see how long it takes for this year’s Dallas squad to get used to one another. Hopefully they won’t be 2-7, like last year, before this team gets its act together.
