I went to this year's Dallas Bridal Show looking for interesting trends for those of you planning a wedding this year. I looked for vendors with a different take on traditional wedding necessities.
Three Ways To Save
1. SOMETHING OLD: I know a couple of people who were able to find their wedding gown on eBay, but it takes the fun away from trying on dresses!
So I would suggest heading to a bridal consignment shop. There are quite a few in the metro area.
2. SOMETHING NEW: If your guests can't afford to make it to the celebration, why not broadcast the ceremony over the internet? There are plenty of web sites that will allow you to do this for free, but if you are looking for a more professional option, you might want to check out video services provided by Lite Dallas.
3. SOMETHING NEW: Flowers! eBay is another great option for finding favors, keepsakes and decorations at wholesale prices. Flowers can also be purchased wholesale. 1. SOMETHING (Tiffany) BLUE: Take a look at this slideshow of some of the more creative wedding cakes at the expo. You can always search around for a more affordable cake maker, but for some of these cakes, you're paying for an edible work of art!
2. SOMETHING NEW: If you're getting married, one of your biggest purchases can be for the photographer. But what about photos for the guests? Here are two fun options:

3. SOMETHING BORROWED: Do you need it? No. But how fun would it be to arrive at your wedding (or leave with your new husband) in a Cinderella carriage?
