First he denied lying under oath, then he changed his tune and pleaded guilty. Now he wants a presidential pardon
The Boston Globe reports former House Speaker Thomas Finneran, now a radio talk show host, has recruited some political heavy hitters to lobby President Bush for him.
Those Finneran supporters include four former governors, Michael Dukakis, William Weld, Paul Cellucci and Jane Swift
The Globe reports that these former pols all support Finneran's contention that he has already suffered enough and paid for his "mistakes." Finneran lost his state pension, a $500,000 dollar a year job with the Mass Biotech Council and his license to practice law in the state was suspended as a result of his guilty plea
He also suffers "daily taunts and ridicule"
Gee, you don't think a talk show host would taunt or ridicule anyone do you?
Pardon him?
