When I was glued to the live coverage of the Hudson River plane crash yesterday I kept hearing this voice in my head say:
"In the event of a water landing......"
How many times have we completely ignored the flight attendant's safety instructions? Admit it, we have our iPods on, we're fiddling with our Blackberry or we're reading the paper. We don't really pay attention during this "boring" demonstration because we've heard it so many times before
Maybe we'll pay attention now. In fact, flight attendants say that in the days and weeks after a plane crash, air passengers become laser focused on the safety demonstration!
Do you know how to open the emergency doors? Did you know you don't inflate your air vest until you're outside the plane?
Do you listen to the flight attendant or is it white noise? Will the "Miracle on the Hudson" open your eyes and ears?
Here's my segment from this morning's show
