Rodney Harrison's reputation in the NFL before he came to the Patriots was "biggest cheap shot artist of all time." But then he came here and became our cheap shot artist. At least those sometimes late hits came on the field, not he's making a living shooting his mouth off on TV
Last night Harrison took a shot at his former quarterback, Tom Brady. Reacting to a couple of roughing the QB penalties that he thought shouldn't have been called, Harrison said "Tom Brady, if you're listening, take off the skirt and put on some slacks, toughen up."
Toughen up? On one of those penalties a Raven player went right at Brady's knees. There's a new penalty for hitting the quarterback below the waist, some call it "The Tom Brady Rule" after Brady's devastating knee injury last year
Raven players complain the rules make it too difficult to hit the quarterback but the QB is the most important player on the field and there need to be penalties to protect them
Wade just said on the air that if it was Peyton Manning, not Brady, we would be applauding Harrison's comments. I disagree. Manning is a franchise quarterback to and it's good for the fans and the league to have these guys protected
Was this a cheap shot by Rodney? Did he forget he would be ring-less if it wasn't for Brady? Do you think quarterbacks get too much protection?
