As a journalist I've always felt it is my duty to be a vessel for people to tell their stories. Stories of hope, stories of loss, stories that will impact others.
There are few stories that have touched me like the journey endured by Jenna McCann and her family.

In 2005 and 2006, 3-year-old Jenna suffered through recurring bouts of brain cancer, three surgeries, endless rounds of chemotherapy and the ultimate realization that she would perish from a disease she was too young to contemplate.
Jenna's parents, David and Kaye McCann possess a strength that enabled them to support Jenna through her ordeal while maintaining a sense of normalcy for their other two children. The odyssey must have nearly wiped them out.
The couple's strength is being tested again with the revelation that possibly dozens of people in their Palm Beach County community of The Acreage have loved ones that suffered through brain tumors or brain cancer. The discovery is prompting federal, state and local officials to investigate what is causing this cluster of cancer cases and whether there is a higher incidence of cancer than normal.
The McCann's are impatient and who can blame them. They fear for their health and the health of their two small kids.
While they deal with this development, the McCann family is also focused on raising money to fight cancer in South Florida. The family hosts an annual golf tournament and gala. For more information
