Ex-Classmate of Hillsdale Suspect Speaks

Posted by brittneygilbert
A former student of Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, the school that was the scene of a pipe bomb explosion yesterday, writes in the comments section of an Eye on Blogs post about the incident that he knew the suspect. He shares his memories of the 17 year old, and what he hopes for in the days and weeks to come:

I went to hillsdale. I completly remember that kid. he was on my wrestling team my junior year with the rest of the guys. He was definitely a quiet type of kid one you would assume would be inside a lot when not at school. i also remember his older sister she was very open with her concerns when any teacher would piss her off or comment her in any way she didnt like haha. I enjoyed it, but yea this kid is just the right fit for this sort of incident in my mind. Kids like this one here that dont get what they're searching for in school whether its friendships, fun, a good social environment, or whatever the case, those are hard enough I would imagine. Every kid in highschool has their deep issues and some people's are extremely worse and most often hidden from anybody's vision, which i wish everybody had a safe place to let it out but thats not always easy for some. Everybody needs attention and acceptance in some way or another, i hated seeing kids at school, whether there freshman or senior, with nobody, just alone with empty faces. All I want to spread at my higschool and any other is to just let go of the trash talking to kids we dont even know just because of some flaw a person might have in their "cooler" eyes. Sucks to hear this happened and i hope other classmates recognize this in a much bigger perspective. Good luck to the kid.
